This excellent free video to iPod Converter software can convert most videos to iPod video and audio formats, and then let you simply enjoy music and video on iPod players including iPod, iPod nano, iPod mini, iPod classic, iPod shuffle, iPod touch, iPod Touch 4, etc. on the go.
It’s freeware, but I’d unquestionably donate to the cause – it’s one of the easiest converters to utilise* Win-AP – This handy software does the magic of tagging the outputed mp4 file to act with the settings on the video iPod. Chiefly what I was seeking was the power to make my videos to come out under the “TV Shows” list on the iPod. Win-AP makes tagging the file smooth, with fields for all kinds of info – Name, Artist, Album, Show, Episode Number, Season Number, etc. There’s no path to batch the tagging, but it’s still a handy little app. It’s not too tough to puzzle out how it all acts – as soon as both are installed, you fire up Leawo
and point it at your divx video. After a while (depending on your system, perhaps a long time), you’ll have a brilliant new mp4 file sitting in your output directory. If you didn’t mind it not being tagged or anything, you could put it on your iPod at once. I love to keep things coordinated, so I fire up Win-AP to get the tagging work finished. It can make a backup file for the video it’s working with also.
There’s loads of other paths to work this out there, but this was the first simple one I found…I wish this would help you out with your iPod and enjoy yourself!:)
