Children's Day, also known as "Jun 1st International Children's Day" held on June 1st every year, is children's festival all over the world.

In August 1925, representatives from 54 countries gathered in Geneva, Switzerland to hold "International Conference on the welfare of children".This meeting published a declaration that we shoud show love to children and protect child welfare

Before the meeting,the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan and other countries responded positively. These country have established their own national Children's Day. For example, July 14th is the Children's Day in the United Kingdom each year and the U.S. regulates May 1st for children.

In China, Children's Day is on April 4 according to the proposal of the China Association of Salesian in 1931. After the founding of new China, June 1sth has become chinese Children's Day.
During World War II, in June 1942, the German fascists killed 140 men who were more than 16 years old and all the babie in Lidice town. Women and 90 children were taken to concentration camps. The village houses, buildings were burned and destroyed by Nazi Germany.
After World War II, because of economic recession, thousands of worker lost their jobs and lead a hard life. Cildren’s state becomed worse :some got some infectious disease, others are forced into child labor and no one assured their life.

The International Democratic Women's Federation council meeting was held in Moscow in November 1949. China and the representatives exposed the imperialist reactionaries of all countries to poison children's crimes. In order to protect the world of children's right, health and education ,the meeting considered June 1st as the International Children's Day each year.
